Vanessa A. Gebka

A proud Chicago native, Vanessa A. Gebka is an associate attorney at Levinson and Stefani, where she is dedicated to advocating for individuals and families harmed by negligence. From the very start of her career, Vanessa has distinguished herself through her compassion, determination, and unwavering commitment to justice. Before becoming licensed, she clerked at Levinson and Stefani for nearly two years, developing invaluable experience in litigation preparation and client advocacy. Since entering practice in 2021, she has already achieved significant results, building a reputation as both a skilled litigator and a supportive ally to her clients.

Education & Background

Vanessa is a first-generation lawyer who earned her J.D. and Advocacy Certificate from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. At Loyola, she was a member of the Chicago Bar Association Moot Court Team, where she honed her appellate advocacy skills by drafting briefs and delivering oral arguments before panels of judges. She also served as a Student Clinician in Loyola’s Civitas ChildLaw Clinic, representing children in abuse, neglect, and custody proceedings as both child representative and guardian ad litem.

Her academic journey began at Triton College, where she earned her Associate Degree and participated in the Ethics Bowl Team and Model Illinois Government. She then graduated cum laude from Northern Illinois University with dual majors in Political Science and Sociology and a certificate in Criminology. A member of NIU’s Honors Program, Vanessa published her Honors Capstone Project, “Sexual Assault in Universities.” She also thrived in the Mock Trial Program, where she gained courtroom experience presenting cases and conducting examinations. Notably, Vanessa became the first undergraduate intern with the Cook County Public Guardian’s Juvenile Division, reinforcing her lifelong commitment to protecting vulnerable populations.

Results & Client Feedback

In just a few short years of practice, Vanessa has obtained more than $4 million in judgments and settlements for her clients. Her results are matched by the high regard in which clients hold her. Based on client feedback, Vanessa is consistently described as professional, compassionate, and highly effective. Past clients commend her for easing their stress during difficult times, handling complex negotiations with efficiency, and keeping them fully informed throughout the process. Clients highlight her strong communication skills—promptly returning calls, answering every question, and providing clear guidance. Above all, they characterize her as a reliable and empathetic advocate who not only achieves favorable outcomes but also ensures clients feel supported every step of the way.
